On the one hand, this is great because data-driven: intelligent decision making almost everyone in the world now has a cell phone,
which has enabled a lot of great things. But on the other hand, like you said,
they’ve used the platform to create a lot of rules that I think are arbitrary, and it feels like they haven’t invented anything great in a long time.
It feels like Steve Jobs invented the iPhone and now they are just reaping the benefits 20 years later.
I think, year over year, I’m not even sure they’re selling more iPhones right now.
Sales may actually be declining. Part of the reason is mobile lead that products don’t actually get much better
